Sooncheon Korea is a small city to the southeast of Kwangju in South Korea. The sooncheon map was known as the Territory of Mahan during the Samhan Dynasty and on Jan 1, 1995, the sooncheon city was reborn as "Suncheon City" after annexing Sungjukun. It is a city in Jeollanam-do, and known as the scenic agricultural and industrial city of a population around 250,000. Sooncheon city is located perfectly in the southeastern corner of Jeollanam-do, very near to Gwangju and minutes from the port city of Yeosu, and Gwangyang.
Sooncheon Korea is witnessing a strong development after being included as part of the Gwangyang Bay Free Economic Zone, one of three newly created Free Economic Zones (FEZs) in South Korea due to open within the next decade. On the sooncheon map there are numerous places of interest for the visiting tourists. Tourists would find from the historic remains of beautiful Castles and fortress to Buddhist temples. A Suncheon Japanese Castle is a small, 16th-century castle built by the Japanese, and then there is a Naganeupseong Folk Village, the largest remaining South Korean fort city built on a plain. Sooncheon city houses a main park in the area Jukdobong Park whose name was derived from the park's shape of an island. The observatory in the park provides an open view of Suncheon city, Yeonjaru Pavillion, Palmatap Pagoda and an archery field. It is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees which are in full bloom in the spring. |
